In the years that we have been raising sheep the most common complaint we've come across is - where do I purchase Ontario lamb? Setting out to remedy that in our particular area has become much easier with the focus on "local" eating and the concern the average consumer has about food safety.
Our marketing company is based on the belief that our customers' satisfaction is of the utmost importance. As a result, a high percentage of our business is from repeat customers and referrals.
2012 price for cuts is as follows:
Lamb Chops (pkg of 4).....$20
* there is a reason why chops are our best sellers. They are exceptionally tender, succulent and sweet. A nice dinner for two people.
Lamb Steaks (pkg of 2)....$10
*Not quite as tender as the chops but the meat is equally as good.
Whole leg of lamb.....$40
* Weighing between 5-7 pounds, there is a substantial amount of meat, even with the bone-in (which adds flavour). Also available in half-legs.
Rack of lamb....$40
*There are 8 chops in the rack.
Smoked shoulder roast....$30
*the shoulder roast is often the least appealing cut, but by having it smoked, it becomes something truly unique. Also superb served cold.
*we also offer a shoulder roast-boned and rolled.
Boneless leg cubes (1 lb)....$10
* These "kabobs" are a quick and easy weekday meal or appetizer when entertaining.
Ground lamb (1 lb)....$5
*Can be substituted anywhere you use ground beef. In fact I often combine the two for some extra flavour!
Lamb stew (1 lb)....$5
*this is the original stewing meat for traditional dishes. With a mixture of meat, bone and fat.
Lamb pepperettes (pkg of 15)....$10
*this is a great snack food. My kids love them in their lunches! Because we use the whole animal not just the trim, ours are very lean. We are currently only offering the mild flavour.
Lamb sausage (pkg of 5)...$10
* This is a top-selling product. Again by using the whole animal we get a leaner product.
